Using Other Libraries

In addition to being able to use interlibrary loan to borrow items from other libraries, as a Bethel student you are able to use other local libraries and check items out material at those libraries by using your Bethel ID.   Libraries that are members of PALNI and Notre Dame provide Bethel users with checkout privileges.

If you are an Indiana resident, you may use your state issued ID to check material out at IU South Bend. Bethel students may also be able to apply for a temporary resident library card a the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris public library.

If you have a valid Bethel ID, you may check material out at any PALNI library. PALNI's website does provide a list of all its member libraries. Nearby PALNI libraries include:  Saint Mary's, Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Goshen, Grace, Huntington, Taylor, University of Saint Francis, and Concordia Seminary

You may request their materials using the Get it feature on the catalog, or you may use their libraries in person as well. If you do use another PALNI library in person, you only need to present them with your Bethel ID to check material out.
