History Today, Military History, and Christian History Search

Search American History, Military History, Christian History, America's Civil War, Civil War Times, Wild West, or World War II

Hints to Help in Your Search for a Periodical Article

  • In the box above, type in a topic.  Hint: Don't get too specific.  The search will already limit your search to the main periodicals that are used for the class.  So, choose something like:  Egypt, Charlemagne, Caesar, Battle of Waterloo, Industrialization, etc.
  • After clicking Search, you'll see a log-in screen. Type in your Bethel username/password. If that isn't working (it isn't for some), DON"T panic.  Contact Professor Schmidt,  Mark Root,  or Kevin Blowers and they'll be able to give you the information to log in.
  • Once in, you should see results that look like the following:

Christian History

Christian History is a magazine that tells the stories that had an impact on Christianity through the ages. Each issue is dedicated to a specific theme and all the articles in the issue are related to the theme. If you get the chance, browse the a print issue. You'll see articles that are related to a topic that might interest you and be able to discover how the various strands of history can relate to each other. The current printed issues of Christian History are located upstairs near the Research Desk and past issues are located downstairs, on the compact shelving. The bound journals on the compact shelving are in alphabetical order, so just search in the middle of the Cs.
