Academic Searchis a good starting database to look for articles on your paper. It has a little of everything.
Topic Search is a smaller database--less overwhelming---and focuses on current issues and topics. It's designed for papers where you are looking for articles on a current controversial topic.

For Books
Perform a search on the catalog
For print books, get the call number of the book. It is the number the follows things like: Bowen Library Main Collection.
Use that number to find the book on the shelf. Feel free to ask a librarian for help in locating a book.
You may also click the "Get it" button, which is found after you click the title of the book, to have a librarian retrieve the book for you and have it held at the circulation desk. (Note: The advantage of finding it yourself is that you can see what other books the library has on your topic.)
